PlannerTech Roundup: Bringing #Techsy Back
This was only our second time exhibiting at an industry event, we’re pretty new at this :-), so we didn’t know what to expect. What we did know is that the crowd would be chock-full of industry veterans, thought-leaders we follow on twitter, and other #EventTech geeks we’d love to connect with, so off to New York we went. Here’s a roundup of what we saw:
The event took place at Convene’s downtown NYC meeting space, and it is certainly an impressive space. We’re not based in NYC, but this has to be one of the best venues in town; great layout, beautiful spaces, and a professional, but welcoming atmosphere. Check out a few pictures below:
Speakers & Sessions:
We didn’t get to catch all the sessions because we were manning Attendify’s demo table, but there were some great topics and speakers on the schedule. A few that stood out were Jessica Levin’s session on “Google Glass: Seeing into the Future”, a topic that’s near and dear to our hearts, Chris Kelly’s “Tech Centered Event Design,” and Corbin Ball’s aptly named session “Corbin’s Crystal Ball.”
Session videos should be posted online soon and we’ll update this post with a link (if publicly available).
Exhibitors & Sponsors:
PlannerTech featured over 25 exhibitors/sponsors, including your’s truly, Attendify. It was great to meet some of the other #EventTech startups, many of whom we had heard of, but never met in person.
We recommend checking out Boomset for badge printing and attendee check-in, very nice guys and cool tech that was used at PlannerTech. CoatChex, also in use at PlannerTech, was another impressive product that offers ticketless coat checking technology that speeds things up and adds a bit of fun to a normally tedious process. Check out the full list of exhibitors.
It wouldn’t be right not to include a selfie ;-) here’s a pic of the Attendify demo table. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat!
We have to give credit where its due… Liz King Events put on a great show, and its no surprise the event is headed into its 9th year in 2014. Sessions were relevant and informative, all the exhibitors had compelling products to show, and the networking was top notch. We’re looking forward to coming back next year. Thanks Liz!
