INBOUND 2017 Recap
HubSpot’s INBOUND 2017 recently wrapped and Attendify was there to experience the year’s must-attend event for sales and marketing professionals. 2017 was a huge year for INBOUND, drawing over 21,000 attendees representing 104 countries. We were instantly awe-struck by the beautiful show floor— the perfect setting for four days of inspiration and valuable education.
Keynote speakers included former First Lady Michelle Obama, New York Times best-selling Author Brené Brown, HubSpot Founders Brian Halligan and Darmesh Shah, and more. During her keynote, Michelle Obama touched on the importance of being authentic, genuine, and letting your work speak for you. She discussed many of the challenges she faced in the White House and how she navigated through them— all while in the public eye.
Spotlight Speakers included Slack CEO & Co-Founder Stewart Butterfield, Producer and Author Andy Cohen, Social Justice Pioneer and Tennis Superstar Billie Jean King, and Star & Co-Creator of Insecure, Issa Rae, among others. Billie Jean King discussed the effects of receiving and reacting to negative feedback, as well as standing up for yourself in the face of adversity. She also challenged attendees to use our voice and speak on issues that matter to us and pioneer the change we want to see in the world.
From laying down a positive foundation and defining culture to creating inclusive and diverse campaigns, this year’s breakout sessions reflected the continued growth and evolution of today’s professionals. Expectations are higher than ever when it comes to creating personalized, tailored customer experiences, but the message was clear— it’s more crucial than ever to create genuine human connections, especially in our digital, tech-dominated world. We walked away from INBOUND 17 with the tools to do just that. Will we see you at INBOUND 2018?
