As a thriving franchise organization with more than 19,000 sales associates in more than 65 countries, the Sotheby’s International Realty brand is committed to bringing people together. For more than 10 years, the brand has hosted the Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Event, which encourages in-person networking among sales associates.
The team at Sotheby’s wanted to create an app that went beyond the standard, static app attendees were used to. They were also looking for a solution that had a social element at its core so attendees could keep networking front and center.
One the app was finished and announced, Russo and his team began to see activity buzzing within the app. Once the event was underway, the app’s interactive features proved to be extremely helpful for attendees to locate events and and speakers. “It was incredible, within a day or two, people were posting photos, starting conversations and building custom schedules for the event— it was something we had never seen before,” said Russo.
The team promoted their event app through both social media and a targeted email, resulting in maximum engagement.
Moving forward Russo and his team plan to leverage additional Attendify features to further improve upon the app in coming years.
